Help build the trail! ~~Our next step is building the trail. We have set a goal to raise 2.5 million dollars over the next few years to begin trail construction. Your gift can make this possible.
The Kickapoo Rail Trail will be built by the Champaign County Forest Preserve District and the Vermilion County Conservation District.
The Kickapoo Rail Trail will be a 24.5 mile multi-use recreational trail that runs from Urbana, Illinois to Danville, Illinois
Our first ever #Giving Tuesday campaign was a great success! We raised more than $3,000 in one day toward the Kickapoo Rail Trail construction project. We are humbled, but not at all surprised, by your generosity. Let’s not stop now. We’ll get this trail built in no time, with your help. If you were unable to support us on #Giving Tuesday, we still need your help. Our online donation page is up and running. Donate now! If donations by check are more your style, they can be mailed to the Forest Preserve Friends Foundation, PO Box 1040, Mahomet, IL 61853. Thank you so much for your dedication to this effort and for your participation in #Giving Tuesday 2014!
